NHL Trade Deadline 2012

The NHL Trade Deadline is this coming Monday, and there is lots of speculation as to whom will be traded. This is a huge day in Canada that many follow and there is coverage on the two major sports networks, TSN and Rogers Sportsnet. Last year, the number of trades was relatively low at 16, compared to 31 the year before in 2010.
Most people are hoping for an eventful day, and with 5 of the Canadian teams (Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, and Vancouver) looking to add to their team and two (Edmonton and Montreal) looking to sell, most fans will be keeping their eyes and ears open.
Rick Nash Has been drawing a lot of interest and trade rumours, and the 5 teams he would accept a trade to are Toronto, Boston, San Jose, Los Angles, and the New York Rangers. All teams, except for the Bruins, have shown great interest, even despite the high asking price. Other high profile players that could be moved include Ales Hemsky of the Oilers, Jeff Carter of the Blue Jackets, Evgeni Nabakov of Islanders, and Derek Roy of the Sabres. Lets hope this day is full of lots of trades, because I will be sitting on the couch all day watching TSN TradeCentre.  There will be some surprise deals, but I don't feel that any Canadian teams will make any huge deals except for maybe Hemsky being traded.
